The menu at Watanabe Udon offers a variety of udon dishes, each showcasing different flavors and ingredients. The signature udon bowl, served with a savory broth, is a must-try. The broth, which is both aromatic and rich, is made from a delicate combination of fish and seaweed, simmered for hours to extract deep umami flavors. For those who prefer something lighter, the cold udon served with a refreshing dipping sauce is another popular choice. The restaurant also offers a selection of seasonal toppings, such as tempura, egg, and green onions, which can be added to elevate the taste further.

  • The most delicious udon noodles and a great way to experience local Japanese dining. So pleased we stumbled upon this place while staying in Oshino

  • If you are looking to immense yourself in a local dining experience, this is it. Everyone speaks only in Japanese and the menu is only written in Japanese. The service is very friendly and patient so don’t worry about that. You have to remove your shoes before stepping up the tatami platform. We dropped our stuff at the table and then proceeded to order at the counter. They will serve the food at your table and you can pay at the counter after your meal. Self-service water dispenser is also available next to the counter. The homemade udon was thicker than usual and had a great bite to it. Simple, satisfying bowl of udon in an old-school local eatery setting. The beef was super yummy.

  • If you want to eat real homemade udon this is your place. I tried the classic 肉玉うどん egg and beef udon. It was a little crowded but it was lunch time so it's understandable. All the menu is in japanese so bring a japanese person if you can't read Japanese.
